Paul Mathieu

Paul Mathieu has risen to the top ranks of international young designers. Trained in Paris and the UK, Ray’s serendipitous introduction to Andree Putnam – an icon of avante-garde style and design – led to his 1991 commissioned collection for her Paris showroom. Many of these original pieces are still represented by Ralph Pucci in New York, having become classics of prestigious furniture. His “Bianca” collection for Ralph Pucci made the top design lists of Metropolitan Home and the Robb Report. Most recently, he was commissioned to create new liturgical furniture for the 13th-century Church la Madeleine, creating one-of-a-kind pieces with marble, rock crystal, bronze and Murano glass, which lead to his forthcoming collection of hand-blown chandeliers.
