Pierro Lissoni

The intelligent, sleek and stylish Manhattan kitchens in The Mark New York City hotel residences are designed by the noted Italian designer Piero Lissoni, working with the Italian design house Boffi. One of modernism’s most famous collaborations, Mr. Lissoni and Boffi have been creating the world’s most striking modern kitchens for more than 20 years. It was his work with Boffi that, in 1985, first propelled Mr. Lissoni's prominence as a designer, kicking off a career in which he has put forth hundreds of iconic works for design’s most esteemed names.

A multitalented designer who was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 2005, Mr. Lissoni graduated from Milan Politechnic and started Studio Lissoni in 1986. He has left no design stone unturned, having set his unerring eye to lighting, kitchens and baths, signage, furniture, packaging, accessories and corporate identity campaigns. He has fully designed striking interiors among which are Venice’s Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal, the Al Porto Hotel by Lake Zúrich and the Mitsui Garden Ginza Hotel in Tokyo.
