Spanish PM, Tony Blair can’t get a table

The Mark Restaurant was so jammed Monday night, Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero and former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair couldn’t snag a table.

Instead, Zapatero entertained Blair in his suite upstairs, where he is staying during the UN General Assembly. The switch was probably a relief to Secret Service agents at the hotel, who had a scare on Sun day afternoon, when a photographer cut a security line as Israeli President Shimon Peres was leaving his brunch. The agents drew their guns and forced the shutterbug to the pavement in the middle of Madison Avenue.
